NOVEMBER

ATLAS puts a foot in the cavern. The installation of the detector begins with the installation of 18 colossal feet measuring 5 metres high. They will support the 6000 tonnes of the detector.

DECEMBER

One hundred and fifty four main dipole magnets have been delivered to CERN, enough to equip an octant, one eighth of the accelerator.
